Dear, Ms.Zrihen

I am reading “the giver” by Lois Lowry. The genre is fantasy. The characters are Jonas, the giver, his mom, his dad, Asher, and his sister. The author’s purpose is to entertain. The point of view is third person. The conflict is characters vs. society.  Jonas is getting ready to be 12 and 12 the head of the community assigns jobs to everybody that is going to be a 12. So the leader called everybody except for Jonas and so Jonas was last because he was chosen to become the next receiver of memory because he was a good student in school and didn’t know what he wanted to become. Tomorrow comes and it’s their first day of training so he goes after school to go work with the old receiver of memory.

When he goes to the building he hesitates to say his name. Once he walks in he says hello to the person at the desk. So the women at the pressed the button on the desk so that It opens a door to find a bed, table, and furniture. There were a lot of books everywhere in his office. The  receiver of memory tells Jonas stories of when he was about Jonas age. Then he uses a metaphor describing snow. Jonas asked a question which was what snow is because he doesn’t know what snow is. The man tells him to get on the bed and put your face on the top of the bed. Then Jonas asks what are you doing and he says explain what snow is. The rating I would give the book is 5 out of 5.

I am reading the book “the giver” by Lois Lowry. The author’s purpose is to entertain. The genre is fantasy.  The characters are Jonas, the giver, his dad and mom, and his sister. The point of view is third person. Jonas is 11 and is turning 12. His takes care of little adopted children. One day a plane flies over the village and they announce that everyone should be inside. So everyone does the plane a black plane. The announcer said it was just that the pilot lost his direction. When he was eating dinner the family had to say a word and why they that way. When they were done dinner his mom told his sister to put on her pajamas and Jonas stayed and his parents stayed to talk about when he was turning 12.

I just finished reading the book about nelson mandala. It was a great book because I could really see what he went through some really hard time. Like being in jail for most of your life. Then being the president of South Africa with all of the stress that the president has. When nelson spent a lot of time writing to his self and to his friends that he kept in touch with. The setting takes place in South Africa and modern day. The author’s purpose is to inform about hid time in prison. The characters are nelson and that it. The genre is memoir. Nelson wants freedom and he gets thrown in prison. For protesting for his freedom. The point of view is first person. The conflict is nelson gets put in jail.

I am reading the book called “conversations with myself” by Nelson Mandala it talks about this man named nelson mandala. It has a lot letters from prison. Nelson Mandela was born in South Africa and he was poor when he was a child. Then he went to prison because he wanted rights for the people of south Africa. Once he was out of prison he became president of South Africa. He went to the south Africa university.

I am reading the book called “conversations with me” by Nelson Mandela. The characters are only nelson. The plot was nelson wanted right in South Africa and he got put in jail for that. The setting is in th1964 to modern day and it was in South Africa .the genre is memoir. The author’s purpose is to inform.  What happens in the story is Nelson Mandela is in prison for because the government was evil and he didn’t like it so he was in the resistance against the government. he didn’t like there was only one person in charge  of the whole county  and so he fought back and his actions let him go to prison .there he wrote letters to other people and he wrote to him self . in his childhood he was very poor he had to share a room with his brothers. When he got to be 13 he raised cattle while going to school .

I just finished reading the book “bad pets” by Allan zullo. The book has a lot of funny short stories that are really interesting. Some of the stories that I found interesting was one about an eagle that thought a jet was a giant bird. The eagle dropped its fish on the jetliner because it thought it was a giant bird.   Another story that I found was interesting in the book was when horse. That horse went out of its den because it was hungry and it went in to it Nabor  for the apple tree and the horse got drunk of the apples and landed in the shallow part of the pool.it stayed there until the owner of the pool took a look out the window to see a horse .so the owner of the pool called the firefighter. The firefighters built a ramp .while they building the owner of the pool fed him the apples that he got drunk of.

I just started reading the book called the “bad pets” by Allan Zullo. It talks about the animals that are trained to be house pets and those that are exotic. The funniest short story in the book is when a black cat steals t-shirts, hats, and towels. This cat would steal from neighbors. During the day she was at home during the night she lots of things. She would put in front of the door of her house. Her owner threw it out the first couple of times. Then she put it in the garage. She knew it was her cat not anyone else. Her owner had like a garage sale but it was really claim your things. The cat kept stealing stuff.

Another story I found interesting is when two cats learned how to flush the toilet. Their owner teached them how to flush the toilet so they wouldn’t use the bathroom on the floor. The cats were 18 months old.  So one day they were just flushing the toilet just for fun. The owner thought it was a ghost in the bathroom . so their owner checked I out and found them.

So i finished  reading chapters 1-5 in  this book called "the bar code tattoo". It talks about a girl named Kayla.it's the first day of her school.Everybody has a bar code. A bar code is a credit card,drivers licence,and ID. There is a group called knot2 and it is a group that is against the bar code tattoo.  They want to destroy it because they believe the government  can get money from the people.Some group members have bar codes and some don't have bar codes. Her friend is a good a friend. I say this because they always talked to each other.Her friend has a bar code tattoo.

 I just finished the book “the bar code tattoo. The theme was never give up because she fought for her rights and didn’t get the bar code. The main idea was if dream about it can happen to you .the story talked about this girl named kayla.so her dad died and her mother said not to get the tattoo. or else it will kill you too. Her best friend mom and dad tattoo were both denied and so they had to stay with their aunt. That they hated. So Kayla joined a club that was against the bar code. They can take your money. Her mom drank too much. Kayla got a job at a arts and crafts store. Then one day when she went there it was shut down.

I just finished reading the book “the 39 clues the sword thief.” It was about how they were stuck in a cave with nothing but gold. But they looked up and saw gunpowder so they told dan to get out his matches so they can burn the gunpowder to escape so dan and gave it to alistar so he can throw it up to escape so he did and the first try was 

Unsuccessful but the second one was a successful And Amy and dan got out but alistar tried to get himself out but he didn’t so he died in the concrete. The police came and they asked Amy and dan about alistar. Then they went to the car and they drove back to alistar place so they can get in the shower, rest, and remember stuff about alistar. So when dan walked in alistar room he found gloves that belonged to alistar and used them in the cave. So Amy and dan concluded that alistar ran off like last time.

he book I’m reading a book now is “the 39 clues the sword thief”.is amy,dan,alistar,and Ian  went climbing in a mountain in south korea for a clue.in that clue the clue has do a lot with alchemy. Dan said that the cave for the clue was next to a bush that looked like a S because of a movie he saw. So they looked all over but they didn’t find a bush that looked like a S. they only saw a tree that looked like an S. So they went there and they found a cave their they went in and found a lot of bats that were sleeping. They found mud on the floor. Then they reached a door and they only had a coin that Ian gave amy it was his dads coin and so it fit in the door. And when they went in they found a lot of gold.they found gold buddha,gold,and gold coins. In that room they found a lot of Hideyoshi stuff.his dad was a teacher that tought alchemy so hideyoshi know a lot about     alchemy so he knew that gold was at the top of the list for alchemy.so that why he has a lot of gold.

he book I’m reading is “the 39 clues the sword thief. I don’t know what the theme is yet. I don’t know what the main idea is yet .the author’s purpose is to entertain. I do not know what the moral is.

               I don’t know what the figurative language is. The point of view is third person .the conflict is Amy and Dan has to face the cobras. What happened so far in the book is Amy and Dan went researching in a computer in the library of japan the they got hacked by Regan which is an evil Cahill of Amy and Dan then they ran to the subway the internet to told them it was under the subway .Dan checked the train schedule said that the train comes every 15 minutes so the three of them went the way the train went and Amy found a scroll. Dan found a lot of things. When they got out they saw the cobras so they tried to escape but the got out in the middle of the street .while they were their Amy had her foot crushed by a train. When they got out they put the stuff in a small street. Then Dan saw a cat that looked like Saladin which is there cat. Then they saw red porches and Nellie was in it and she was with the cobras. They got out and Nellie to get in the car

So far in the ‘’ The 39 Clues The Sword Thief ‘Amy and Dan went to the airport and their enemy, The Cobras were there.  The Cobras killed the flight attendant.  The ambulance came and took the body.  The people at the airport asked everyone to evacuate because of the dead flight attendant.  Alistair, their uncle picked them up in the limo at the airport.  While they were driving he gave them both a state of the art GPS to put in their cell phones.  Alistair took Amy and Dan to a private airport.  They were going to fly to Japan,  stopping in Russia for  gas.

Since the Russian spy alot has happened.like they stole the page from Mozart sister .it was actual a recipe for a drink only made by monks.they returned it after they were done reading it in German.then they went to a museum in Venus and they stole the 2 important papers from the diary  and their they stole a little boat because their cousin were casing them. then the next day they visited a another museum which Mozart bought a lot of stuff from him. Mozart became poor because of him.

Star Book

The book that I'm reading right now is called "39 Clues."  It talks about these two kids who are exploring the world to find clues so that they can win $100,000.  Right now, they're in France.  They stole a book which was the diary of Mozart's sister from another cousin.  This cousin is very rich.  The rich cousin's dad stole the diary from Mozart's library. 

When they stole the book from the rich person's hotel, they left everything broken.  They broke the chandelier and stole a toy mini-figure from the hotel.  They also went to the second floor and ran out to the balcony.  They jumped from the balcony and got into a cab going to their hotel.  Their cousin, a Russian spy visited them and told them that she's in the game too.
