Dear Ms. Zrihen,
I am reading the book called “Resilience” by Alonzo Mourning. Mourning says, “The idea was to build on success.” The reason why I choose this is because you can apply it to anything in life. The significance of this quote is that it is important apply to your life. The genre is autobiographical. The characters are Alonzo and all of Alonzo friends and coaches. The setting is all over the world and it is through his life time. The conflict is that Alonzo suffers from a kidney disorder. The tone of this book is sad. The mood of this book is unhappy. The theme of this book is that even if you have a disorder you should still fight for success. The point of view is first person. The pattern of pattern in this books his life.  I would rate this book 5 out of 5 because it is really interesting. The author’s purpose is to entertain. The main idea is that if you survive you will do better. Some text features are the pictures, captions, and the title of the chapters. a new vocab word I learned was centerpiece

Alonzo mourning was born on 2/8/1970 in Virginia. He went to Georgetown University. When he got drafted for the NBA he played for the Charlotte Hornets. After the Hornets he played for the Heat. His nickname is “Zo.” He got a kidney transplant when he was a in the NBA. He has a lot of awards from his basketball career. He went to the Olympics in 2000 and got a gold medal. Alonzo had 2 children of his own. His collage coach for the basketball team was tough. He would work them out. He would be shouting all of the time. He graduated from college in 1992. He retired in 2009. He is in the Virginia hall of fame.

Sincerely,
Siraj Romdhane,
